Dr James Finkemeyer

Specialist Plastic Surgeon, FRACS

Dr James Finkemeyer is a fully-qualified Specialist Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon who undertook Plastic Surgical training in the major hospitals of Victoria, earning a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2018.  He undertook further training with international fellowships in 2020 and 2021. This included Microsurgical & Head and Neck Fellowship at Oxford University Hospitals, UK followed by a Craniofacial Trauma & Rhinoplasty Fellowship at Vancouver General Hospital, Canada.  He has authored a number of publications in international medical journals and presented at national and international conferences in his field of interest and is currently the Supervisor of Training at St Vincent’s Hospital.  His practice encompasses many of the disciplines of Plastic Surgery while combining the aesthetic and reconstructive principles of his training.  His focus is on surgery of the head, neck & face and has developed a particular interest in reconstructive surgery for patients suffering from facial palsy.  He offers a balanced approach to facial nerve reconstruction, bringing aesthetic and functional surgical approaches including eye closure surgery, static surgery for resting defects and synkinesis surgery to functional microsurgical techniques to establish and improve smile.

Mr Keegan Bow

Facial & Titled Neurological Physiotherapist, MACP

Keegan is a highly experienced neurological physiotherapist who has trained in facial therapy and rehabilitation in addition to his work in treating complex neurological conditions. He is a Neurology registrar in the Specialisation program of the Australian College of Physiotherapists, postgraduate clinical educator (Swinburne University), medicolegal physiotherapy consultant and consultant neurological physiotherapist in private practice.

He leads a therapy team at Klint Neuro for facial therapy services and general neurology (www.klintneuro.com.au).

He is also co-Director of Klint Kids, a neurological paediatric physiotherapy and exercise physiology private practice (www.klintkids.com.au).

Dr Tim McLean

Ear Nose & Throat Surgeon, FRACS

Dr Tim McLean is a Victorian trained Melbourne based ENT surgeon. After obtaining a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, he undertook additional fellowship years both locally and internationally. These included:

  • Fellowship in cochlear implants, complex otology, and skull-base surgery at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, King’s College Hospital, and University College Hospital in London, UK.

  • Fellowship in cochlear implants, otology, and neuro-otology at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, and The Royal Melbourne Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.

  • Fellowship in head and neck surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, U.S.A. where he was awarded the Michael E. Burt Award.

During this time he developed a special interest in the assessment and management of the full spectrum of facial nerve disorders. Tim currently works in a number of public hospitals across Melbourne as well as in private practise.
