Why we created this service
Facial palsy is a complex medical problem and every patient requires a comprehensive and individualised approach to care. Often patients and referrers do not know where to turn to for help and it can be hard to coordinate care across GPs, specialists, physiotherapists, radiologists and other practitioners.
The FPS clinic was formed by Keegan, Tim and James in recognition of the complexities of treating facial palsy across their respective disciplines and the improvement of care that only face to face communication and sharing of ideas can bring.
The FPS clinic is run once a month (every 4 weeks on a Thursday or Friday morning) and is designed to allow complex patients to simultaneously see specialists from Facial Physiotherapy, ENT surgery and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, allowing a coordinated approach to optimising management and communication and rapidly moving treatment forward together.
We look forward to meeting you.
